COMDIAL SERIAL SMDR CONNECTION
SMDR (Station Message Detail Recording) can be output from the Comdial telephone system using a serial cable. The connection to the Comdial system is made on the serial data port on the CPM labeled "SMDR" (See graphic below)
HOW TO CONNECT COMM ONE TO COMDIAL
To connect the Comdial phone system to a computer using Comm One Call Accounting Software, you just use a straight-through 9-pin F/M (Female to Male) serial cable. If you don't have a cable you can purchase one on Amazon. If your PC does not have a serial port, you can use a USB Serial Adapter.
