FAQ-1672 EXTENSION IMPORT UTILITY IMPORT_EXTNS.EXE
*** Before you Begin ***
This file import will replace the existing contents of your station file including names, extensions, departments, divisions, sites, and other information. You should back up your Comm One Software prior to using this utility to make sure that you don't overwrite something that you didn't mean to overwrite.
These instructions will show you how to import a CSV File into Comm One Call Accounting and replace your existing station file (names & extensions).
FIELDS YOU CAN IMPORT INCLUDE
Your Fields need to be in that same order and be comma separated to import correctly.

Here are instructions for loading and running the Extension Import Utility
1. DOWNLOAD IMPORT_EXTNS.EXE UTILITY
Click on the following link to download the import_extns.exe utility from our website.
DOWNLOAD NOW. Save the file to your Comm One folder c:\ca20XX where XX is the year of your version of your software. (Example: c:\ca2018)

2. RUN THE PROGRAM
Run the Program IMPORT_EXTNS.EXE
3. SELECT YOUR CSV FILE TO IMPORT
Click the "SELECT CSV FILE TO IMPORT" button on the import utility
4. CONFIRM YOUR CSV FILE STRUCTURE
Confirm that you have the fields in your CSV File in the right order.
5. SELECT YOUR CSV FILE TO IMPORT
Select the CSV File that you have created for import. Our sample file is named import_list.csv, but you can name the CSV file anything you would like.
6. REVIEW THE IMPORT FILE, THEN UPDATE COMM ONE
Next you should review the import file shown in the box below and verify that the fields are showing under the right column headings. If the file is WRONG, then select EXIT, update your CSV File and then start over. If your file looks good and you are ready to overwrite your Comm One Station Extension List, then select UPDATE COMM ONE NOW from the top menu bar.
7. YOUR IMPORT IS COMPLETE
The CSV File has been uploaded and will REPLACE the existing contents of your Comm One Station File.
