Error 114 Corrupt Database Index


     Error 114 indicates that an index file on the system has been damaged. Normally you should not see this error, but it can occur if your system loses power while files are open, or if you reboot your system or kill a Comm One process while Comm One files are open.

AUTO ERROR CORRECTION

     The script file that runs your daily call processing and sends your automatic reports includes scripting to automatically identify and correct any error 114's that it finds.  These type of errors are rare and you shouldn't ever encounter a 114.  If you do and the automatic tasks are unable to resolve it, you can follow the instructions below to manually correct the error.

TO MANUALLY CORRECT THE ERROR

     Error 114 indicates that an index file on the system has been damaged. Normally

 

  1. Close all programs.

  2. Select the COMM ONE SOFTWARE folder from the desktop.

  3. Select the UTILITIES folder.

  4. Double click on the CHECK INDEXES icon.  

  5. The Reindex utility will load

  6. Select REINDEX NOW and the files will be indexed and error 114 is resolved
